IRON LAMB Signs With PULVERISED RECORDS

September 29, 2009

IRON LAMB — the new Stockholm, Sweden-based band formed by underground metal veterans Johan Wallin (GENERAL SURGERY, SCURVY, BOMBSTRIKE, ex-REPUGNANT),Grga Lindström (ex-REPUGNANT),Thomas Daun (DISMEMBER, ex-REPUGNANT, ex-INSISION) and Daniel Ekeroth (TYRANT, ex-INSISION, ex-DELLAMORTE, author of "Swedish Death Metal" book) — has inked a deal with Pulverised Records. The group will enter the studio in early 2010 to begin recording its debut album.

Comments Pulverised Records A&R manager Calvin Chiang: "IRON LAMB is probably one of the most unlikely band to be on our roster, but their infectious brand of 'filthrock — what they call it — and the straight-up MOTÖRHEAD-esque riffing is absolutely something that we missed and loved from the old days. There was definitely no question about it when the band approached us to work with them on the debut full-length!"

Added Wallin: "IRON LAMB are stoked on doing our first full-length on Pulverised! We're currently working on the songs, and will be ready to record during the first few months of 2010. Expect a whole lot of dubious preaching scumbag rock 'n' roll!"

IRON LAMB is scheduled to release a seven-inch EP this fall via Greece's Nuclear Winter Records.

The band made its live debut on August 22 at Swahili Bob's Tattoo & Piercing studio's fourth annual party at Hornstull Strand in Stockholm.

Two of the band's demo tracks are available for streaming on the IRON LAMBMySpace page.

A press release states: "Tired of lame-ass '80s metal revival, weak MTV-whoring 'punk rock' and image-concerned rock 'n' roll, they have joined forces to threaten the scene with some lethal rock 'n' roll/punk, hailing the spirit of TRUE rock 'n' roll and punk rock, taking shape as a bastard son of early MOTÖRHEAD and G.G. ALLIN . . . This is the real deal, born and raised in the gutter and we're here to bring danger back into rock 'n' roll!"
